What we promise
- Attribution, always. Every claim is sourced to a named person, a document, or our own direct observation — and we tell you which.
- Opinion is labeled. Gonzo columns carry an Opinion tag. News stories don't editorialize.
- We verify footage. We don't publish viewer video until we've confirmed who shot it, where, and when, and gotten permission.
- Corrections are public. On the story and on our corrections page, with the date.
- We ask for comment. People we write about get a real chance to respond, and we report what they said or that they didn't.
